About Queen City Scooters

Our Story

Queen City Scooters started back in 2019 as a small pop-up and online shop. But the real story begins with how I got involved in the world of electric rides—and how it changed my life.

In 2010, I had a serious accident that left me with a neck injury and limited mobility. For years, I relied on public transportation, long walks, and rides from friends. Things really turned around in 2018 when my dad gifted me a Glion Dolly electric scooter. That tiny ride gave me back a sense of freedom I hadn’t felt in years. It was a game-changer. Seeing how much that scooter improved my day-to-day life made me realize I wanted to help others experience the same independence.

That’s when I started Queen City Scooters. It was clear that many people buy affordable scooters online, but they often end up with broken or unsupported devices. I saw an opportunity to provide quality repairs, and over time, we became one of the few authorized e-scooter repair shops on the East Coast. Today, we handle everything from tire changes to electrical diagnostics, and we’ve built a reputation for honest service at fair prices.

Our Locations & Expansion

We recently opened a second location in Charlotte’s First Ward at 810 E. 7th St., which helps us serve customers faster and reach more of the community. Our plans are to close the original location this summer to streamline operations and focus more heavily on expanding sales and moving into manufacturing. This way, we can better support the growing demand for quality electric vehicles and innovative mobility solutions.

Community & Industry Support

Beyond repairs and sales, we’re passionate about community. We teach safety classes, partner with local organizations, and work with businesses to provide fleet services. We also believe in supporting industry growth by working with students and giving them opportunities to gain hands-on experience in areas related to their studies. To us, mobility isn’t just about machines—it’s about creating opportunities for independence, education, and community connection.

The Future of Micro-Mobility

Looking ahead, we’re building a future where electric and micro-mobility options are accessible for everyone. We’re developing our own products Made in America, with features that help riders go further and ride smarter. It’s an exciting time, and we’re proud to be part of Charlotte’s move toward a cleaner, smarter, more connected city.
